  • How does dysport work?

    • Dysport is an injection containing abobotulinumtoxinA(Botulinum toxin type A). AbobotulinumtoxinA is made from the bacteria that causes botulism. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity. Relaxation of the muscle decreases repetitive movements which lead to wrinkles.​

  • What are common side effects of dysport?

    • ​The most common possible side effects are nose and throat irritation, headache, injection site pain, injection site skin reaction, upper respiratory tract infection, eyelid swelling, eyelid drooping, sinus inflammation, and nausea.For a full list of side effects, go to the dyport website.

  • How long does it take to get dysport?

    • approximately 20-30 minutes for evaluation and treatment (depending on how many areas treating, this may take longer)​

  • Is there any downtime after the injections?

    • There may be minimal redness, swelling and possibly light bruising

  • how long does is take for dyport to start working?
    • Usually within 2-3 days. It is recommended to give it 2 weeks to fully kick in​
